Welcome to The Edition. By accessing or using our application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using The Edition, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

The Edition provides AI-curated news briefings and summaries. Our service aggregates and summarizes information from various sources to help you stay informed efficiently.

3. User Accounts

To use The Edition, you must:

• Create an account with accurate information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Be at least 13 years of age

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer or extract our systems
• Share your account with others
• Resell or redistribute our content without permission
• Attempt to circumvent any access restrictions

5. Content and Intellectual Property

The briefings, summaries, and other content provided by The Edition are protected by copyright. You may read and use this content for personal, non-commercial purposes. The original news sources retain their respective copyrights.

6. AI-Generated Content

Our service uses artificial intelligence to summarize news. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated summaries may occasionally contain errors. We encourage you to verify important information with original sources.

7. Subscription and Payments

The Edition Premium is available as an auto-renewing subscription. The available subscription options, billing periods, and current prices are displayed in the App Store purchase flow before you confirm your purchase.

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period at the price of the selected subscription.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings after purchase. Deleting the app does not cancel an active subscription.

The annual subscription may include a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers where offered. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple’s refund policies.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Edition is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free content. Our summaries are for informational purposes and should not be considered professional advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Edition shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
